THE PROJECT:  A book of poetry begun and written in the early days of the pandemic, born from readings about astronomy and astrology and developed through its themes of loss and resolution.

How to design a chalice or a cover and interior to hold what this poet told me was the center of this collection: meaning in stillness and what is possible when our usual movements are curtailed and/or changed forever. It sent me on a hunt for the definitions of words like astrolabe and what exactly does way-finding mean, and could we still keep our sense of direction in this changed world with only the instruments at hand?

Birds.
Constellations.
