Tools & Talismans #42 Kris Katsuko Oster

I'm a Creator and Pleasure Activator in my work and my life — the tools that best serve me are sensual in nature and help me focus during my creation time.

My crystals bring me focus and clarity for writing of all kinds (books, blog posts, marketing copy), they also heal my energetic field if I've taken a beating after a long day of meetings, which seem to drain me the most out of any work activity.

My various tarot and oracle cards help me find the themes for projects or simply a guidepost for the sort of day I'm going to co-create with the one who breathes the Universe. God/dess. I consult with them multiple times per day.

I've recently brought flower, gem, plant and geographical essences into the fold. One combination is called Write and the other is Play. Pretty self-explanatory! When I take the essences with the intention to create with their particular energies everything flows much easier. The ingredients of my Play essence: Temple of Isis in Philae, Egpyt (bottled by Arielle of Arielixirs), Fairy Princess (by Star Essences) and Dolphin Fun (by Star Essences). This essence reminds me that it is safe to be in my feminine, sexy body and flirt with life!

I have massive amounts of drums. The rhythm of life pulses and connects me to my past lineage of sea priestesses — on both sides of my family no less!

My shells, pearls and mermaid figures again too numerous to display them all. And, they whisper to me of dreams fulfilled and a golden future for the ocean and its creatures. I have a hard time imagining this, especially after the recent oil spill in my own backyard, Santa Barbara, California. I spend my Mondays and Fridays at the beach in the mornings to commune with the mermaid guides, Yemaya (West-African Ocean Mother) and my friends the dolphins, gulls, whales and seals. I'm in love with the joy in a dolphin's leap!

I consider all of these objects my Council of Muses. When I'm not at my desk they are solving my problems, coming up with new n' sexy ideas for my biz and having conversations about what turns them on.

I know it sounds crazy, but I can definitely hear them speak to me when I'm most centered and silent.

Kris Katsuko Oster is an archetypal brand strategist and a writer for supernaturally creative entrepreneurs.
